About
I am currently a Research Psychologist at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, contracted to the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress at Uniformed Services University. In this role, I am part of the IV&V team for DARPA's STRENGTHEN program, assessing novel neuroscientific techniques that may enhance cognitive flexibility and emotional regulation to protect against traumatic stress.
In my past role as a Research Scientist at Accenture Labs, I led the neurotechnology research initiative, investigating how Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) and bio-sensing technologies can augment human cognition.
I received my PhD from the University of California, Merced in the Sensorimotor Neuroscience Laboratory, working with Ramesh Balasubramaniam. I have 9 years of experience with experimental design, participant recruitment, statistical processing of data, and scientific communication.
research interests
I take insights from the latest research in cognitive science and behavioral observation to craft human-centered studies that truly understand a user's experiences, their motivations, and challenges they face. I utilize a breadth of techniques to assess these questions, incorporating qualitative (surveys, interviews, focus-groups, etc.) and quantitative (behavioral observation, bio-monitoring, statistical analysis) methodologies to answer relevant business questions to improve products and experiences.
In graduate school, my research focused on studying human behavior and the neural correlates of learning, movement, and cognitive enhancement.
